Sajama 6542m

The highest mountain peak in Bolivia, Sajama is an extinct volcano which still retains its volcanic shape. It is located in the west of the country near the Chilean border in the Cordillera Occidental and can be reached from either La Paz or Arica. The authorities of the national park no longer permit ascents out of season.
