In the northern Cordillera Blanca, there are two Caraz summits. The ascent of both peaks can be made from the south via the col between them, but is becoming much harder over the years. While frequently quoted at 6025m, digital elevation data and photographic studies seem to indicate that Caraz is probably under 6000m high.!
