Tungurahua 5023m

Tungurahua is a volcanic peak in Ecuador, lying not far from Chimborazo. From the summit there are great views of Altar, Cotopaxi and Chimborazo. In recent years it has become very active and ascents are now a lot less common than they were in the past.

We can organise guided expeditions and private ascents of this peak.  For details of how to climb the volcanoes of Ecuador please see our guidebooks, which are available in English, Spanish, Polish and French editions, direct from us or from all good bookshops and mountaineering shops.
