'Andes' have been running a program of downhill snowsport holidays in South America for eight years now. The resorts in Chile have good powder at high altitude, with plenty of clear sunny days and they are very much quieter than Alpine or US resorts - you will probably never have to queue. The snow is at its best in August and early September, the tail-end of the southern hemisphere winter.

This new option allows you to sample some of the best of Chilean skiing to your own schedule. You choose the dates and duration of your holiday, we'll make all the arrangements, including flights, car-hire, hotel reservations and a full information pack on Chilean skiing.  Although good, the Chilean resorts are fairly small, so rather than just ski one resort we recommend that you visit several during your holiday. Some suggested itineraries are detailed and costed below but we can arrange any itinerary that you want...

Driving in Chile is straightforward, just a  wee bit more exciting than back home but generally the roads and driving standards are at least as good as they are in southern or Eastern Europe.

In general we use a mixture of small family run hotels and chalet-type hotel accommodation for these holidays. The cost of lift passes is not included in our price, they cost between $35 and $45 per day, depending on the resort, your age, the season and the day of the week. (over 60's or 65's are often free). For more information on the resorts in Chile and to help you choose your itinerary please visit our ski resorts in Chile page.
