El Ermita? 6146m

A high peak lying entirely in Chile just to the north of the worlds highest active volcano, Ojos del Salado.

    El Ermitano in northern Chile

Ermita? is in the near distance on the right. This is the view looking north from the summit of Ojos del Salado.

An unknown German climber approaching the summit of Ermita?, March 2003. Surely the first time ever that this peak was climbed twice in one day!

Pena Blanca and Ermitano
