Nevado de Cachi 6380m
A rarely climbed peak on the edge of the Argentine Puna, often called Libertador and sometimes quoted at a crazy 6700m! This is one of my favourite parts of the Andes - laid back, beautiful scenery and nice mountains.

We can organise guided ascents of this peak. For details of how to climb Libertador and the other peaks in the Nevados de Cachi, such as Quemado and Cienaga please see our guidebooks, which are available in English and French editions, direct from us or from all good bookshops and mountaineering shops.
